| 51A. | 1918 Illinois Centennial Half Dollar Featured Lincoln - Higher Mint State, Three years after the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition Half Dollar, another commemorative half dollar was issued, this time for the statehood centennial of Illinois. This coin prominently featured a portrait of Abraham Lincoln on the obverse, leading many to refer to it as the Lincoln Half Dollar, although it is more appropriately known as the Illinois Centennial Half Dollar. The coin is important for a number of reasons. First of all, it was the first commemorative half dollar to sell the entire authorized mintage, which had been established at 100,000 pieces. Next, it was the first half dollar to portray a U.S. President. While some earlier commemoratives had featured Presidents, they were different denominations. Finally, this represented the first commemorative coin to be issued in connection with an event related to a specific state |

| 9000. | This is an online only auction that begins closing on Tuesday, March 19, at 7:00 P.M. Items will close at 4 items per minute! This auction will feature our automatic Group Extension (See Term '9004' Below). Cash or Michigan Check with Driver's License, or Visa/MC/Discover. NOTE: No credit cards or PayPal accepted on individual items over $2,500.00. There is a 10% BUYER'S PREMIUM on this auction (which means if you bid $10 you will be paying $11) and No sales tax. No out-of-state Checks! No checks over $500.00 unless known by auction company. Please call the office to verify check approval. |
| 9001. | FIRST TIME BIDDERS: You must first register to bid on our site by clicking the 'Register to Bid' button on the left of our page. Fill in the information, submit it, and you will instantly receive an e-mail with your permanent online bidder's number. HOW TO BID: Go to the item you are interested in, place your 'maximum bid' in the box to the right of the item in the column titled 'maximum bid'. Scroll to the bottom of the page and fill in your bidder number and password. Then click submit, read and follow the on screen instructions. A 'maximum bid' is your top dollar bid. When placing a 'maximum bid', the computer will bid for you up to your top amount as other bidders bid against you. If the bidding stops before it reaches your top amount, you will get it for the current bid price (which may be much less than your 'maximum bid'). Note: E-mail if you have any questions! LOST YOUR BIDDER NUMBER OR PASSWORD? Call our Office at (989) 823-8835 or Click 'Register to Bid' in the upper left hand corner of our webpage and look for 'Lost your Bidder Number/Password' Link. |
| 9002. | BUYER'S PREMIUM: There is a 10% Buyer's Premium on all items which will be added to the invoice after the auction closes. |
| 9003. | BIDDING EXTENSION: If there is bidding activity on an item in the last 3 minutes before the item closes, bidding time will be extended. Bidding will close on each item when there is no more bidding activity within the bidding extension. The bidding time 'countdown' is shown next to the bidding box on the last day of the auction. When bidding is extended, the countdown clock turns red. |
| 9004. | GROUP EXTENSION: Grouped extension will work in harmony with our existing automatic bidding extension feature (See Term '9003' 'Bidding Extension' Above). BidNow.us will sometimes group together similar items in an internet auction and place them in a bidding extension group. Any bid within the last few minutes that causes an automatic extension of bidding on any one of the items in that group will now automatically extend the bidding on ALL items in that group. When no more bidding has occurred on any items in a group for the specified time, then bidding on all items in that group will close simultaneously. NOTE: When similar items are included in a group for bidding extension, you can bid aggressively on any one item in the group until you have exceeded the price you are willing to pay for that item. You can then shift to any other item in the group without worrying that the chance to bid on other items in that group will close while you are trying to outbid someone on another item in the group. |

| 9009. | REFRESH: On the final day of the Auction, the time remaining will appear to the right of each item along with a 'Refresh Button'. When the items are about to start closing, BE SURE TO HIT THE 'REFRESH' BUTTON OFTEN FOR THE MOST UP-TO-DATE BIDS! |
| 9010. | Click on photo to the left of the description to view additional photos! |
| 9011. | EASIEST WAY TO WATCH THE AUCTION CLOSE: "ALL OPEN ITEMS": When the Auction begins closing at 7:00 P.M.* on Tuesday, March 19, you will be able to view all 'Open Items' that have not 'Closed' yet and are still available for bidding. This will REFRESH your page and eliminate some of the scrolling down the page through the closed items. HOW TO SELECT 'ALL OPEN ITEMS': Towards the top of any of the bidding pages, click on the "Select Category" Box and a list will pop down, click on "ALL OPEN ITEMS" and only items currently open for bidding will display on the page. NOTE: This 'Open Items' category appears ONLY AFTER the auction begins closing. *Items will close beginning at 7:00 P.M. at the rate of 4 Items per minute and feature our 3 minute bidding extension (See Term '9003' 'Bidding Extension' Above). |
| 9012. | NOTE: Many of the descriptions of items were provided by the owners. Feel free to call or e-mail to verify, or come to a preview!
